These students have worked incredibly hard to put together a program of challenging music at a high level. Not only did they earn a Superior rating, but they also carried themselves with professionalism throughout the day. A special thanks to all the guests who have worked with this group over the last few months!” ~Ms. Borja, Band Director
Students in Mr. Chavez’s and Ms. Root’s Earth Explorers STEM class visited scientists at the University of Colorado SkyWatch Observatory in Boulder on February 29th. The facility is a part of the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and uses highly sophisticated equipment to collect data on a vast array of atmospheric conditions such as wind, precipitation, temperature, ozone, and much more. This important data is shared with the scientific community and is used in many different areas of research including climate and global change.
