Westview Middle School Weekly Update

The name “February” is derived from the Latin word “februarius,” which means “purification” or “the month of purification.” In the ancient Roman calendar, February was the last month of the year, and it was dedicated to various purification rituals and festivals. The name reflects the Roman practice of cleansing and purifying both physically and spiritually during this time of the year.
