Paws For A Cause Fun Run And Fundraiser

We are excited to announce our biggest fundraising event of the year – the first annual PAWS For A Cause event. On October 6th, our students will participate in a fun run, organized by grade levels. We’re also reaching out to parents and our wonderful community members to help us raise funds for our students and resources for staff.

The Westview community is unique and has always supported all of our efforts. We believe our new fundraising format will simplify the process and allow everyone to contribute effortlessly. We hope to have only one school-wide fundraiser and eventually eliminate the need for separate campaigns. The proceeds from this annual event will directly benefit our entire school, including our performing arts programs. Your contribution will have a direct and meaningful impact on Altona’s students, staff, and programs. It’s that straightforward! If you’re able and comfortable, we invite you to be a part of our success story by contributing. Help us say YES to student and staff needs this year.

About the run – all students will take part in a fun run/walk during the first 3 hours of the day.. The course will feature exciting obstacles, challenges, and even a foam machine! An alternative path will be available, and students can choose to engage with the challenges as they see fit throughout the race.

Our ambitious goal for this year is to raise a minimum of $25,000. With that said another SVVSD school has raised $50,000 and this would be our “stretch goal.”  We like a little competition around here. The more we raise, the more we can elevate and enrich the unique student experience that is Westview! As an added incentive, each class that meets its grade level fundraising goal of $17,000 will have the opportunity to dunk an administrator in the dunk tank immediately following their run!

This year, we have teamed up with Get Movin’© to make this event fun and profitable with online mobile-friendly technology! Parents will be able to create a personal donation page for their student and keep track of the donations that they earn. Please use this link to register your student today. When registering, all students will use their P3 TEACHER when choosing their “classroom”. For additional registration information, please see this document.

Students, be sure to check out the suggested email template to help you spread the word about this fantastic opportunity among your friends and family!

The easiest way to contribute is by registering as a parent on Fundhub and donating online. If you prefer to make a cash or check donation, you can do so at the main office. Make checks payable to Westview Middle School and attach the provided slip. Community members are welcome to mail in their donations to the following address:
