Snap Benefit Update from CDE

The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) has requested that we share the following information with our community: Due to the federal government shutdown, SNAP benefits for November may be delayed. School meals are still available. If you need additional food before your SNAP benefits are available, there are local resources that can help:

Ms. Porter collaborated with choir directors from other middle schools across the district to bring students together for their first concert of the year. The event showcased the power of teamwork and highlighted the incredible talent of our young singers as they performed in harmony for a memorable evening of music

No Two Prints — or Students — Are Alike!

Officer Rimsky recently visited our 7th-grade students to teach them about fingerprints. The students learned that every person has a unique fingerprint, making each one truly special. Through hands-on activities, they explored how these patterns are formed and why no two fingerprints are exactly alike.

REQUEST FOR 2026/27 CETC CLASSES DECEMBER 3 -FEBRUARY 3.

1. Log into the Infinite Campus Student Portal at
ic.svvsd.org/campus/stvrain.jsp
2. Select the Academic Planning dropdown at left; click ‘Next’
3. Scroll down to ‘Practical Arts’ heading towards the bottom of the page
4. Select the text box for the upcoming school-year
5. Enter the CETC course name(s) or number(s) you are requesting
6. Select the course(s) you wish to request by clicking on the name
7. If you’d like to select an alternate choice, enter your choice(s) in the
bottom row labeled “alternates”

8. Click the “save” icon in the top left of the page to save requests.
NOTE: For year-long courses both A & B sections should be selected.
