Wildcats on the Move!

Our 8th graders showed up and showed out at Monday’s track meet in Lyons! They gave it their all, cheered each other on, and competed with great energy and sportsmanship. We’re proud of the way they represented Westview!

Engineering in Action: Can the Egg Survive?

Our 8th graders are putting their engineering skills to the test by designing and building cars that are both fast and safe! The challenge? Speed down the track while protecting their precious passengers—eggs—from cracking in a crash. It’s creativity, problem-solving, and a little bit of suspense all rolled into one exciting project!

Calling all future Wildcats! Instrument Demo Night is on Wednesday, April 29th from 4pm-6pm for next year’s incoming 6th Grade class. All incoming 6th graders are required to take a music class, so make sure you attend to get your first pick!

We need First Aid/CPR certified people to volunteer to run/jog/walk the fun run. If you are certified, you will get an AWESOME red shirt, a first aid kit to carry and the opportunity to help someone if they need it during your walk/jog/run. Longmont Youth Symphony

This June the Longmont Youth Symphony is hosting our Third Annual Band and Strings Mini Camp! This camp is open to anyone with one year of playing experience up through students who just completed 8th grade. The camp is run by Ms. Carrie Borja and Mr. Jonathan West. 

Camp will run from June 18-20 at United Church of Christ (1500 9th Avenue in Longmont). Rehearsals will be 12:30 to 5:30 daily, with sectionals and fun camp activities sprinkled in as well. The camp ends in a culminating concert at 3:30pm on Saturday June 20th.

The cost for camp is $150 and students can sign up by registering here!

St. Vrain Valley Schools Student Art Show

April 14-19

St. Vrain Valley Schools invites the community to its annual Art Show at the Boulder County Fairgrounds Exhibition Hall from April 14-19, featuring artwork from students of all grade levels across the district. The event is free and open to the public, with viewing hours Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will also be a special Artists’ Night Open House on Thursday, April 16 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Join us in celebrating students’ creativity through ceramics, digital art, drawing, jewelry, metalwork, mixed media, painting, and printmaking.
