Planning for Next Year: Elective Requests are Coming!
Hard to believe, but it is already time to look ahead to the 2026-2027 school year! We are excited to help our current 6th and 7th graders begin shaping their middle school experience at Westview.
On Friday, April 10th, 6th grade students will receive access to a comprehensive Elective Request Slide Deck. This digital guide will walk your student through the available course options and provide step-by-step instructions on how to submit their official requests. On Friday, April 17th the 7th grade will receive this information
Key Dates & Details:
- Release Date: 6th grade-Friday, April 10th – 7th grade- Friday April 17th
- Window: You and your student will have one full week to explore the options and discuss which classes best fit their interests.
- Deadline: Please ensure all requests are submitted by the following Friday to ensure your student is included in the primary scheduling run.
This staggered grade level choosing will not impact your student in terms of which electives they receive as the electives are grade level specific. We encourage you to sit down with your student next weekend to review the deck together. Whether they are interested in diving deeper into the arts, exploring technology, or trying a language, this is their chance to help design their daily schedule!

ParentSquare: Our New District Communication Tool
St. Vrain Valley Schools will begin using ParentSquare, a new district communication tool that allows families to receive notifications based on their preferences. St. Vrain’s communications team will pilot ParentSquare for the remainder of the school year with the plan to expand access to schools at the start of the 2026-27 school year. We’re excited about the opportunities ParentSquare offers to streamline communication and will be working towards consolidating several of the tools families currently use into one convenient platform.
After spring break, parents and guardians will receive an email invitation to activate their ParentSquare account. This will allow families to download the mobile app, set language preferences, and choose how and when they receive notifications.
Visit the district website to learn more about ParentSquare.

Tickets are still available!

We’re excited to invite our families to an unforgettable evening at a Colorado Rockies game!
