  • Intramural Girls Basketball Registration- November 6th – November 27th on RevTrak
  • Intramural Boys Basketball- Intramural Boys Basketball schedule 23-24
    • Single-elimination Intramural tournament begins next week on Tuesday, November 7th!

    • 6th Grade Robotics Club-
      • Mr. Truschel will be starting an after-school Robotics Club for 6th graders and needs to get an idea of how many students might be interested. If your student is interested in learning about the exciting world of competitive robotics, please fill out this form.

    • Upcoming Parent University Session on Dyslexia, Nov. 14th: St. Vrain’s Parent University program provides training, information, and resources to parents and caregivers in order to support the well-being and success of their children. Join Yes! Ambassadors: Youth Examples of Self-Advocacy on Nov. 14 at Coal Ridge Middle School from 5-6:30 p.m. as they present, What We Want Everyone to Know About Dyslexia: The Student Perspective.

    Congratulations to our October Students of the Month!
    8th grade Treble Choir performs an enchanting and powerful rendition of “Medieval Gloria” by Vinjay Singh under the direction of Choir Director Ms. Neumann and Accompanist Ms. Meilstrup on Thursday, November 3rd. 7th grade Treble Choir, 7th & 8th grade Tenor/Bass Choirs, and 6th grade Choir also presented their vocal abilities at this first concert of the year at Longmont High School. The resounding applause from the audience was a sure indication that hearts were touched and memories were made. Beautiful job songbird Wildcats!
    7th & 8th Grade Orchestras (above) and 7th & 8th Grade Bands (below) perform in their first concerts of the year at Longmont High School on Wednesday, November 1st. All of these students chose to continue their musical careers beyond 6th grade and many of them will continue on in high school. It is always impressive to see the enormous musical growth that occurs with each year of instruction. Outstanding work Wildcats!
    7th grade scientist Saphal Shrestha uses his school iPad to take photos through a microscope.  Below is his best photo of the aquarium plant Egeria (waterweed).
    6th grade science students measure the force of gravity on different masses to graph and determine the relationship between these two factors.
    “All Things Pumpkin” in Mr. Chavez’s and Mrs. Root’s 8th grade STEM class. High school students from the Agriscience class at the Career Elevation and Technology Center taught about pumpkins and then helped students make pumpkin pie in a cup!
    The 8th Grade Boys Travel Basketball team prepares for their last regular season game @ Soaring Heights on Monday, November 6th.
    Officer Rimsky directs traffic in his quintessential donut costume on Halloween. Hundreds of our Wildcats dressed up in awesome and creative costumes making for a fun and festive day!
    Remember when Kitchen Manager Jennifer Buffington asked 7th and 8th graders and Waffles to join her for a “Show Your School Spirit in the Lunchroom” photo for a national contest sponsored by the School Nutrition Association? Guess who won the contest? You’re right! WESTVIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL! The prize package had lots of new equipment for the kitchen including a new freezer for ice cream and slush cups (for sale on Thursdays starting next week). Congratulations Wildcats!
    Westview’s incredible kitchen crew- Ms. Buffington, Ms. Lock, Ms. Herrera, Ms. Ashing, and Ms. Allsup (not pictured) on Halloween. Thank you for all your hard work each and every day providing nourishing meals and fun for our Wildcats!
