Westview Middle School has one of the nation’s top VEX robotics programs. We offer a competitive robotics team for 7th and 8th graders that is separate from the robotics classes offered during the school day. This program is a natural fit for our STEM school with its focus on engineering, mathematics, computer programming, teamwork, and 21st Century Skills. Students are challenged through a cyclical design process to define needs, develop ideas, create prototypes, and test their creations via internal and external competitions and criteria. In the fall of 2023, the program will be entering its 12th year. As a result of the success of previous years, as well as the increased interest in robotics, we are taking applications to join the Westview Robotics Team.
