- I began long ago and far away as an elementary teacher. I taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade before moving to middle school as a literacy and EL teacher. Found my passion specializing in those that may find school challenging with literacy and also helping those just learning the English language. I want students to love to learn and discover their strengths. I've now taught in middle school for 19 years. Definitely found my niche.
