I grew up in Iowa by the Missouri River where my family would boat, and my sister and I would water ski. I played softball, golfed, and swam competitively in high school and still to this day, I love doing all of those. For vacations, my family would travel to Colorado to go skiing. This is how my love of Colorado developed... skiing at Keystone and Copper were the best family vacations. I graduated as an English major with my secondary teacher certificate from the University of Iowa. I am a huge Hawkeye fan. I moved to Colorado in 1993, started teaching, and went to CU for my Master Degree. I ski every winter and love the weather, the mountains, and the Longmont community. I enjoy traveling, paddle boarding with my dog, Jimmy Todd, reading (I am in two book clubs!), watching cooking shows, playing volleyball, and being with my friends and family.
