Science Olympiad

Westview Middle School is the first school in the St. Vrain Valley School district to participate in Science Olympiad.  Students at Westview participate in Science Olympiad during STEM block or after school.  They have been preparing for months for challenges in 23 different testing and building events such as bridge building, bottle rocket, entomology, anatomy and physiology, and disease detectives.  Students became experts in their field of study or in their building events and competed in an all-day science extravaganza at Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Collins on March 7th.  The kids had tons of fun and came out of the event with a lot of success.  They already want to start preparing for next year and plan to do this during STEM block during the fourth quarter.
