Accidents happen! The SVVSD Optional iPad Insurance Program for secondary students covers many of the costs associated with a damaged or lost iPad. This year, the cost has been lowered to $25 AND includes new levels of coverage. One of the most important institutions in our society is public education. Of the approximately 55 million K-12 aged children in the United States, it is estimated that 90 percent are enrolled in public schools. Second only to parenting, the longstanding institution of public education will have the greatest influence on America’s future.
In Colorado, we’ve experienced an ongoing discussion around the adequacy of resources for our public schools with mixed results.
Students and families throughout our communities will be able to access free lunches this summer. Meals will be provided to any child under the age of 18. Adults with a child will be able to eat at "no charge" until funding dollars run out.
Meals will be provided at Countryside Village, Roth Rock Dell Park, Kanemoto Park, Carr Park and the Longmont Youth Center. Please review the flyer for days, times and activities.
Our 5th Grade Parent Night is for the parents of incoming students who will be in 6th Grade in the 2018-19 School Year. Parents will have the opportunity to learn more about what to expect in 6th grade. They will also meet our teachers and staff. This event is designed for parents only. May 1.
