Westview STEM Explorers learn and provide service to our community

They have been engaged in water quality studies, learning about the Emerald Ash Borer, and engaging in conservation efforts at several local open space properties. They have been conducting water quality studies at Heil Ranch for several years. In the fall they built fishing line receptacles, conducted water quality studies, and surveyed trash and human impact at Pella Crossing.

February is Kindness Month at Westview

Westview 8th Graders Ava Bennell, Rachel Mau, and Ella Jackson are spearheading a kindness campaign at Westview. This initiative is part of their National Junior Honor Society service project. Their kindness initiative works hand in glove with our 7 Mindsets theme for the month, "Attitude of Gratitude". Students and teachers are spreading messages of support and kindness, we have a daily announcement of kindness, and our hallways are adorned with posters featuring insprirational messages. Thank you girls for making Westview Middle School a little better each day.
